Jane. H.M.S. "Blenheim," with the embalmed body of Prince Henry of Battenberg on board, anchored at Spithead at 5.30 on the morning of February 4, having covered the distance from Madeira to Plymouth, where she arrived the day before, at an average speed of twenty-one Knots. At 10.20 she came abreast of the South Jetty of the dockyard, where she was awaited by Admiral Sir Nowell Salmon. The coffin was lying in the Commander's cabin on the first deck in the after part of the Vessel, covered with a Union Jack.
