For Sale is a Full Page picture taken from "The Sphere," July 27, 1907, called "A Village Funeral," as Painted by Frank Holl."
This picture, which is reproduced by permission from the picture in the Leeds Art Gallery and from a copyright photograph by Eyre and Spottiswoode, was painted by Mr. Frank - or to give him his full name, Mr. Francis Montagu-Holl (1845-88), who was a distinguished engraver, and his grandfather and uncle, both named William Holl, also followed that craft with great success. The Holls are believed to have been of German origin. Mr. Frank Holl exhibited no fewer than ninety-one pictures in the Royal Academy.
Condition is Very Good, with a small Filmoplast tape repair to bottom margin.
