1 in stock.
For Sale is a Front Page taken from "The Sphere,' September 28th, 1907," showing a photograph called "London's Autumn Cleaning - Gangs of Painters Putting a new Coat on the Tower Bridge."
Squads of men are at present engaged in painting the Tower Bridge. Steady nerves are required, for they are at a dizzy height above the river when painting the upper ways which connect the two towers. Other squads are painting the interior counterbalance works which raise and lower the bascules. A magnificent view of London can be obtained from the roof on which the men are walking. A corner of the Tower of London is visible on the left.
