Hats are now a woman's crowning glory. This lovely trio shows the trend of the side trimming. a pedal shape has two fan-tails cheekily perched over one ear.  Satin and straw together make the second example an ideal possession, even without the lancer feather of ostrich fronds at one side. 
On the neat swathed turban of satin a diamante or mother of pearl crescent catches the folds and reflects a myriad rays of light. There is a tendency to wear our shapes onesidedly this season, with all ornaments above the right ear for preference. Brims turn down more often than up, but it is still a matter for individual taste.
