When the more active forms of amusement on the ice--skating, curling, and the like-pall, winter sportsmen in Switzerland easily find something quiet to rest them.  One of the favourite of the ice "parlour games" now in vogue is seen above, where a party are indulging in the homely game of "noughts and crosses."
