When the Prince of Wales attended the contest between Jack Hood, the welter-weight Lonsdale belt holder, and Len Johnson, the coloured boxer, this week at the Ring, Blackfriars, it was the first occasion on which a member of the Royal Family had visited that building during the eighteen years it has been devoted to the sport. The Prince saw an excellent contest in which Jack Hood, though conceding a good deal of weight, gainded a points victory over Len Johnson, thus confirming a similar victory over his coloured opponent a year ago.  Hood's straight left was the deciding factor in his success.
