London Fashions. : Novelties in Ball Gowns at Messrs. Redmayne's. 1885.

For Sale are Two Pages removed from "Lady's Pictorial, December 19th, 1885," showing an Article with 3 Drawings by Pilotell called "London Fashions. Novelties in Ball Gowns at Messrs. Redmayne's."

Reverse side of first page shows an Engraved drawing showing the following two "Town and Home Dresses."
   a- Waistcoat bodice, round skirt, and painted cuffs in sapphire blue velveteen. Corslet bodice and draped overskirt in otter-coloured curl cloth. The braces, neckband, and pointed tabs at the waist are made of brown Ottoman silk, outlined with Jericho beads, and embroidered with smaller smooth sandal beads intermingled with others in gold.  Grey Astrachan bonnet, edged with lead beads and ornamented on the side with a velvet flower, and an aigrette or a goural's wing.  Red surah scarf round the crown.
   b- Gown of vert d'eau faille francaise, bordered with garnet-coloured velvet ribbon, overlaid with gold braid macaroons, in keeping with the gimp froggings amd motif at the back, finished off with tassels.  Robe of Chantilly lace over a red satin foundation.  Full elbow sleeves of piece lace.  The same model may be reproduced in any of the warm and inexpensive otter, beaver,, or seal cloths, with a full front of yak lace or printed veiling.
