For Sale is a Full Page removed from "The Illustrated Sporting and Dramatic News, November 2nd, 1912," showing 5 Drawings by Lionel Edwards, A.R.C.A., from Sketches by Capt. Corbet, R.A. for "A Day With The Peshawur Vale Hunt."
The Peshawur Vale Hounds were started in 1868 as a small pack, owned and hunted by the officers of a battery R.H.A., stationed at Peshawur. in 1870 more hounds were bought, and the pack was organised as the P.V.H. The hounds are taken to the hills in summer, and the year before last, owing to an attack of dumb rabies, were nearly wiped out ; but more were sent out from England, and the pack still flourishes, hunting two days a week, and giving some fine gallops over a country open, but trappy in the extreme, intersected with irrigation channels, and covered with hidden springs.
