1- Mr. Beerbohm Tree as isadore Izard, formerly criminal and bankrupt, and now a wealthy and vulgar tyrant. 2- Miss E. Inescort as Mrs. Underwood, one of Izerd's guests and flatterers. 3- Mr. Beerbohm Tree as Isidore Izerd in a characteristic attitude, which enables him to jingle the coins in his pocket. 4- Mr. Basil Gill as Hubert Forsyth, whose secret marriage with Inez Izard thwarts the financier's callous plot to marry his child to the son of a bankrupt earl. 5- Mr. Robb Harwood as Professor Gruggh, a German professor, who attempts to overreach Isidore Izard, but is checkmated by that devotee of business. 6- Miss Viola Tree as Inez Izard, whose nature revolts against the vulgarity and heartlessness of her father, until she leaves him to marry a poor man.
