With reference to the "New Wimbledon," it may be mentioned that though the stand is well advanced, it is by no means finished yet, while the hard court stand on the west side will not begun this season. As there is no sufficient room for al motor-cars, these will be parked in roadways around as before.  Although Wimbledon Park Station is the nearest one to the new ground, there is no direct road from it, the golf club intervening. Wimbledon Park Road, the road from Southfields Station, is the main road serving the new site, and the part of it which is called Wimbledon Park Road South has been remade.  The steep gradient from near St. Mary's Church has been made easier.  The new ground lies in a sort of hollow.
