For Sale is a Full Page Drawing by N. Tenison removed from "The Sphere, January 14th, 1905," showing "The Child Players in Drury Lane Pantomime Attending their "Lessons" in the Theatre School."

The children employed at Drury Lane pantomime-twenty-four boys and twenty-six girls were licensed by the magistrate at Bow Street - have to do "lessons" in the theatre, where there is a school conducted by certified teachers and viited by County Council inspectors.  The children have quite a busy day, for they appear at two performances, between each of which the County Council demands an interval of four hours.  The schoolroom is at the very top of the theatre, above the stage.  No child is under ten years, but they range from the fourth to the seventh standards.  The incident depicted is a little lad called "Jack Frost" doing his arithmetic.  The mistress, Mrs. Harper, has taught at "the Lane" for a great many years.
