For Sale is a Fiull Page removed from "The Illustrated Sporting and Dramatic News, June 2nd, 1906," showing an illustrated story by G. H. Jalland called "A Polo "Prentice."
1- It was the thing to do. So Freddy determined he would play Polo. He spent hours at this sort of thing. 2- He invested heavily in expensive ponies. 3- And having joined a polo club he turned up at his first practice game considerably pleased with himself. 4- But alas ! Freddy was no horseman, and his clever ponies turned far too quickly for his equilibrium. 5- He hit his mount. 6- And his fellow players far more often than the ball. 7- He barged into and lamed several valuable players. 8- And often having stopped a goal with his head. 9- He came to the conclusion that polo was a silly sort of game after all.
