For Sale is a Full Page removed from "The Illustrated Sporting and Dramatic News, June 25th, 1904," showing the Following 9 Photographs from "The Gamebird-Rearing Industry.- Life on a Pheasant Farm."

   a- The Keeper's enemies, staots, weasels, &c., which have been trapped or shot.
   b- The Keeper's cat, chained up during the game breeding season.
   c- Long lanes, fitted with coops, are cut in the standing corn or grass, and the birds have the free range of an eighty acre field.
   d- The Keeper's allies.- Ferrets with their fatal grip.
   e- Boys carrying out the brooding hens from the nests to be fed.
   f- Once every twenty-four hours the brooding hens, having been carried from the nests, are tied to stakes while they feed.
   g- Pheasants' eggs in nest-boxes ready for the fostermothers.  From a Photo taken while the hens were away feeding.
   h- Pen for catching young pheasants.- This structure is, open at either end and the birds are induced to enter by food dainties, such as ants' eggs, &c., some days before they are required.
   i- Stock birds.

    a- The housekeeper, whose rooms have been misused as a tipster's office, has a misunderstanding with an infuriated backer, a butcher, who had sent five shillings for the "cert." advertised by Dot and Mabel.- Mrs. Bannerman : "No orders to-day."
    b- The tipsters, Dot and Mabel (Miss Muriel Ashwynne and Miss Lettice Fairfax), terrified by the report that they have tipped a scratched horse to 5,000 customers, solicit the sympathy of Uncle Matt, a pillar of the Aberdeen kirk.
    c- Baby Berkeley, one of the indignant backers (to the orthodox Uncle Matt, whom she mistakes for the swindling tipster) : " And you take it from me; if it weren't for my amour propre, and your age, hang me if i wouldn't get one of my army boys to knock sixteen different kinds of fits out of you!  Rottah!"


Condition is Very Good.
