The Adventures of the Scratch'em- "A Damp, Dismal, Disappointing Day."

For Sale is a Full Page removed from "The Illustrated Sporting and Dramatic News, February 27th, 1904," showing the Following 8 Drawings by G. H. Jalland called "The Adventures of the Scratch'em- "A Damp, Dismal, Disappointing Day."

   a- It was towards the end of another pouring wet and hitherto blank-day, that a countryman informed our M.F.H. that he could show him a fox.
   b- He led us to the flooded hopern and there sure enough was a fox clinging to the pollard willow.
   c- Greatly excited Mr. Foppington-Smyth ordered hounds to be kept back whilst he rode into the flood to dislodge.
   d- He reached the tree in safety- but the fox refused to budge.
   e- An incautious attempt to wade round resulted in a plunge into the depths of the hopern itself.
   f- Mr. F. S. saved himself and the fox promptly did likewise.
   g- The horse emerged on the far side - carrying his new rider safely to land.
   h- The M. F. H. was rescued by one of the whips and after this we went home.

Condition is Very Good.
