The Adventures of "Jim." 1889.

For Sale is a Full Page removed from "The Graphic, August 10th, 1889," showing an Illustrated Short Story called "The Adventures of "Jim."

   a- Being promised a pet dog by some friends, who have come to live in town and are without a garden, i call, and an asked to leave the dog for a few days, as the family must have more time for the parting
   b- I call again, and capture the prize.
   c- "Jim" objects to trains.
   d- We arrive at our destination, and "Jim" is handed out by the guard.
   e- As he does not follow well, i decide to carry him.
   f- Friendly overtures at his new home are received with scorn.
   g- Even a cutlet will not bring his tail into curl.
   h- But during the evening, exhausted and melancholy, he becomes acclimatised.
   i- And next day settles comfortably down and makes the best of it.
