Many City functions are a little tiresome, and didadjusted to the period, but there is one reception at the Mansion House which delights the most critical and cunicle observer. This, the Annual Children;'s Fancy Dress Ball, which took place last Friday, is always a pure delight, both to those who play a part therein and to those who look on.
