Muffkinson and His Motor. 1898.

For Sale is a Full Page removed from "The Illustrated Sporting and Dramatic News, April 23rd, 1898," showing the Following Comic Drawings by Ralph Cleaver called "Muffkinson and His Motor."

   a- Little Muffkinson, having pruchased a motor, determines to make a new road record.
   b- All goes well until at a hill- "Dangerous to Cyclists"- his motor gets away with him.
   c- His nerves upset, his stearing becomes erratic, and in trying to clear a pebble he is precipitated into a snowdrift.
   d- "It 'motor' been worse remarked Muffkinson.
   e- It really was worse, though, for he found on righting his car again, with the aid of sundry countrymen, that his reserve of oil had been upset.
   f- He contrived to procure some parrafin which disagreed with his machine ; and when, like John Gilpin, he wanted to pull up, he could not.
   g- In a little village, some hundred miles from everywhere, the inhabitants were much alarmed one night by the sight of a meteor, which with terriffic and appallling speed passed through about eleven o'clock. This may have been Muffkinson and his motor on fire-anyway, he has not been heard of since.
