The Hendon Golf Club. 1934.

For Sale is a Full Page removed from "The Tatler, January 17th, 1934," called "Golf  Clubs and Golfers," showing Drawings by "Mel" for "The Hendon Golf Club."

Some of the leading lights of a club whose course lies cheek  by Jowl with David Garrick's Old home, Hendon Hall - now an hotel. Garrick was there in 1748, and though it is not known whether he ever played golf himself he certainly invited some of his friends to bring their clubs and play at Molesey Hurst.  The Hendon Golf Club at one time had ideas about acquiring this old house as their dormy house, but the scheme never went through.  It is a very picturesque and pleasant course, within easy reach of Hendon, Finchley, and Mill Hill, and has a present membership of 500 in all, 200 being ladies.
