Very Sociable and the possessor of an attractive face, an entertaining personality and a pleasant manner, Lord Halifax's daughter both makes and keeps friends easily.  Like most Yorkshire people, she is deinitely of the opinion that no other locality can hold a candle to her home county, but her popularity is by no means confined to its boundaries.  The Hon. Anne Wood, in common with other members of the family circle, loves to go hunting, and does it mostly with the Middleton, of which pack her father is Joint master with Lord  Grimthorpe.  The former Lord Irwin who recently succeeded as 3rd Viscount Halifax on the death of his father , was installed Chancellor of Oxford Umiversity last month.
