   b- At the First Fence in the Middleton Steeplechase, won by Mr. J. M. Kerne's Jackanapes.
   c- At the Last Hurdle in the Three-year-old Hurdle Race.- Florenne (on left) and Silver Fern (centre), who dead-heated ;  Ravine (on right) third.
