The Pytchley Hedge-Cutting Competition took place on Tuesday, 17th inst., at Guilsborough, near Northampton. Altogether some 116 competitors were at work during the morning, each being allotted about twelve yards of Hedge to trim and get  into shape.  At 3.30 p.m. the judging took place, Messrs. Harris and Timms officiating. The first prize in the champion class was awarded to Wm. Boneham, a native of the district.  The hon. Fitzroy, one of the prime movers of the Competition, was early on the scene, and was followed later by Lord Annaly, Master of the Pytchley, General Brabazon, Captain Pennell Elmhirst, Mr. John Gee, Mr. Attenbury, and several other members of the Hunt.
