Hints for the Highlands. 1906. (Deer Shooting.)

For Sale is a Full Page removed from "The Illustrated Sporting and Dramatic News, September 8th, 1906," showing the Following Drawings by G. H. Jalland telling the story called "Hints for the Highlanders."

   1- When approaching deer the most perfect silence should be maintained.
   2- It is as well to make sure your stag is defunct before you attempt to measure his antlers.
   3- When following up a wounded stag amongst rocky ground it is advisable to allow your gillie to take the lead.
   4- If a cartridge jams at a critical moment, loss of temper should be avoided.
   5- If you must take your favourite hound with you, it is better to have a boy to hold it, than to tie the beast to your leg.
   6- A quiet nap should be avoided when a deer drive is in progress.
   7- If you find you cant hit em, preferable your gillie should do the shooting, than you return without any heads.

Condition is Very Good, with light Foxing in the margins.
