Daniel in the Lions' Den. 1842c.

For Sale is a Full Page removed from a "Series of Scripture Prints," by William Darton, showing a Hand Coloured Engraved Print, with a Half Page of Text from the Bible below for "Daniel in the Lions' Den."  Daniel vi.  18 to 22.

Then the King went to his pal-ace, and pass-ed the night fast-ing :  nei-ther were in-stru-ments of mu-sic brought be-fore him ;  and his sleep went from him.
Then the King a-rose ve-ry ear-ly in the morn-ing, and went in haste un-to the den of li-ons.  And when he came to the den, he cr-ied with a la-ment-a-ble voice un-to Dan-i-el ;  and the King spake and said to Dan-i-el,  O  Dan-i-el, servant of the liv-ing God, is thy God, whom thou serv-est con-tin-u-aly, a-ble to de-liv-er thee from the li-ons!
Then said Dan-i-el un-to the King, O  King, live for e-ver.
My God hath sent his an-gel, aand hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me :  for-as-much as be-fore him in-no-cen-cy was found in me ;  and al-so be-fore thee, O King, have I done no hurt.

And the word of the Lord came un-to E-li-jah, say-ing,  Get thee hence, and turn thee east-ward, and hide thy-self by the brook Che-rith, that is be-fore Jor-dan.
And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook ;  and I have com-mand-ed the ra-vens to feed thee there.
So he went, and did ac-cord-ing un-to the word of the Lord :  for he went and dwelt by the brook Che-rith, that is be-fore Jor-dan.
And the ra-vens brought him bread and flesh in the morn-ing, and bread and flesh in the e-ven-ing ;  and he drank of the brook.
And it came to pass, af-ter a while, that the brook dri-ed up, be-cause there had been no rain in the land.

Condition is Very Good.
