Christ Feedeth Five Thousand, 1842c.

For Sale is a Full Page removed from a "Series of Scripture Prints," by William Darton, showing a Half Page Hand Coloured Engraved Print, together with a Half Page of Text from the Bible, called "Christ Feedeth Five Thousand."  Matthew xiv.  19 to 22.

And Je-sus com-mand-ed the mul-ti-tude to sit down on the grass,  and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and look-ing up to hea-ven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his dis-ci-ples, and the dis-ci-ples to the mul-ti-tude.
And they did all eat, and were fill-ed :  and they took up of the frag-ments that re-main-ed twelve bask-ets full.
And they that had eat-en were a-bout five thou-sand men,  be-side wo-men and chil-dren.
And straight-way Je-sus con-strain-ed his dis-ci-ples to get in-to a ship, and to go be-fore him un-to the o-ther side, while he sent the mul-ti-tudes a-way.

In those days came John the Bap-tist,  preach-ing in the wil-der-ness of Judae-a, 
And say-ing, Re-pent ye :  for the King-dom of hea-ven is at hand.
For this is he that was spo-ken of by the pro-phet E-sai-as, say-ing, The voice of one cry-ing in the wil-der-ness,  Pre-pare yo the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
And the same John had his rai-ment of ca-mel's hair, and a lea-thern gir-dle a-bout his loins ;  and his meat was lo-custs and wild hon-ey.
