First Aid to the Navy. 1914.

For Sale is a Full Page removed from "The Illustrated Sporting and Dramatic News, November 21st, 1914," showing a Drawing by W. McDowell, called "First Aid to the Navy."

Showing how minor repairs may be carried out at sea.  the sketch shows H.M.S. Assistance, steam repair ship (9,600 tons), moored alongside, and carrying out repairs to a light cruiser of the Liverpool class. The Navy possesses several repair ships each fully equipped with smithy, foundry, workshops, &c.,  and carrying a complement of skilled artisans in addition to crew.  In time of war these vessels follow the fleet for repair purposes.  On the left of the sketch is shown a light cruiser which has been converted into a mine-layer.

Condition is Very Good.
