   1- Peg, the Irish girl (Miss Laurette Taylor), shields her enemy, the haughty Ethel Chichester, when the latter tries to elope with a wicked married man and the house is aroused in the middle of the night.
   2- Peg slaps the face of the wicked married man, Christian Brent (Mr. Eille Norwood), on his preferring her to Ethel Chichester.
   3- Peg fast bewitching Jerry with her mingled archness, simplicity, and kindheartedness.
   4- Alaric Chichester, persuaded by his mother to propose to the wealthy Peg for the sake of her money, gets properly "roasted" by that young lady, and learns some home truths concerning himself and his kind.
   5- Peg decides to leave the uncongenial shallowness and insincerity of the English home and go back to her beloved father in America. She is a warm-hearted girl, who has been brought from her simple home to freeze among the icebergs of the Chichester family.
