Within a year Len Harvey has held the Middle, Light-Heavy and Heavyweight Championships of great Britain and the Heavyweight Championship of the Empire- and this mainly by defence.  Within a few weeks he has proved himself impregnable to Petersen and Gains.  His latest battle with the coloured Canadian was dull in the Extreme.

   a- Face to Face under the lights in the crowded Albert Hall.

   b- Typical of the fight, which was fought throughout at close quarters.  Harvey, giving away much weight, relied mainly on his wonderful defence, though ever ready to make use of a chance of hitting the Canadian holder of the title.

   c- Four Championships in a year. The end sees Len Harvey announced the winner of an even struggle.

   d- Just in Case of over-excitement. The referee, Mr. Kenrick, keeps Larry Gains from his opponent when Harvey slips down.  This was one of the few interesting moments of a very dull fight.

   e- After the ordeal.  The new British Empire heavyweight champion, with Mrs. and Master Terry Harvey, examining telegrams of congratulations at their North London home next day.  Mrs. Harvey watched the fight from the ringside.
