For Sale is a Full Page removed from "The Illustrated Sporting and Dramatic News, December 14th, 1934," showing the Following Four Photographs from "Flora Robson in "Mary Read" Cut-throats and Cutlasses in the Pirate Play at His Majesty's"

   a- The Pirates at Bay :  The pirate ship having been led into a trap where she is hopelessly outgunned by Government frigates, her captain is for surrendering, but Mary Read will not hear of it.  She takes command of the ship, hoists the skull and crossbones and leads the pirates in their last fight.

   b- "The Captain's Lady" :  Betty Hardy as Bonny tries to arouse the interest of the young man Read. But Read being a woman in disguise,  Bonny meets with little success.

   c- In The Wars In Flanders :  Mary Read (Flora robson) having enlisted as a trooper in the wars in Flanders, the artistEarle (Robert Donat) enlists and follows for love of her.  His nerve fails him at a crisis and he deserts.  Mary tries to help him, but while hiding in a barn he is caught and shot.

   d- The Female of the Species :  "Mary Read" is based on history and deals with the life of a woman of the Eighteenth century who, tiring of petticoats, became first a dragoon and later a Pirate.
