Practising for To-morrow's Relays. (Oxford v. Cambridge Athletics). 1935.

For Sale is a Full Page removed from "The Illustrated Sporting and Dramatic News, November 29th, 1935." called "Practisong for To-morrow's Relays," showing the folllowing Four Athletics Photographs for "Oxford and Cambridge to Meet at Iffley Road- A. G. K. Brown's Prospects." 

  a- Relay Racing at Oxford :  A baton change in one of the races last week at Iffley Road track.  The Inter-College Cup was won by University.  On the same track t--morrow Oxford meet Cambridge in the 16th annual relay meeting.  Cambridge expect to record their Twelfth victory. Last year at Cambridge they won all seven events but suffered disqualification in the low hurdle race.

  b- A Promising Cambridge Freshman :  H. S. Walker (Sherborne and Corpus) will represent his University to-morrow in the high hurdles.  The sporting expression "left standing" can hardly be applied to the opponent beneath him in this picture.

  c- The Outstanding Man To-morrow :  A. G. K. Brown (Warwick and Peterhouse) holds the Cambridge quarter-mile record with 48 and one-tenth seconds.  He is almost as brilliant at sprinting and half-miling.  He pulled a muscle beating 10 seconds for the 100 yards on tour in South Africa this summer, but has quite recovered.  A Pennington, of Oxford, will certainly extend him if they meet on level terms to-morrow.

  d- Oxford's Hope in the Hurdles :  J. P. Knight (Lancing and Trinity) taking the last flight in the Inter-College race.  This freshman is proving a worthy successor to C. F. Stanwood and A. G. Pilbrow, and with his aid Oxford may win the high hurdle event to-morrow.
