   1- Captain of the English Team :  R. Male. has captained the English Team twice this season. The Hapgood-Male partnership at full back fir the Arsenal gives many an opposing forward a feeling of helplessness.  They have a perfect understanding of each other's movements and an uncanny sense of anticipation.

   2- The Popularity of "Soccer" is well illustrated by the huge crowd shows in this photograph of the International match between Scotland and England at Hampden Park in 1933.  Approximately 134,000 people saw this match.

   3-  Secretary of the Football Association :  "There is probably not an important fact or detail about "Soccer" as played in the United Kingdom or abroad that does not come sooner of later to the attention, and thus into the records, of the secretarial sanctum sanctorial of Mr. S. F. Rous. (Portrait).

   4- Tottenham Hotspur's New Stand, filled with an enthusiastic crowd.  "Soccer" is recognised to-day as the game which, in Britain, at any rate, appeals to the masses more  than any other.

   5- A Good Example of perfect balance is given by the player in this photograph.  Accurate and timely passing of the ball is the first essential of Association football, and the passing movements of a first class team which is combining well are a joy to watch.  Brains as well as stamina must be the attributes of the successful player.

   6- President of the Football Association :  Sir Charles Clegg is one of the many distinguished persons associated with the executive side of the sport in Britain.

   7- Goalkeeping in First Division football is of a high order.  Asense of positioning and anticipation, and an ability to punt the ball far and accurately, go to make a good goal keeper.
