   a- A. G. Butterworth receiving a pass from a loose maul near the Scottish line.  The Richmond backs were given any number ofchances but failed to turn them to account.  With the defence drawn and two opponents ready to cut him off, a cross punt to the left-hand corner flag is clearly indicated, though the idea does not seem to have evn crossed Cranmer's mind.  He is seen with hands on hips near midfield.

   b- A Juggling Feat by D. G. Gordon, with G. M. Milne intensely interested in the result.  The Richmond forwards were extremely lively and forceful, employing with marked success rushing tactics more usually associated with Scottish forwards, but were faced by a very resolute defence, especially during the closing stages.

   c- A. S. Roncoroni is here seen coming away with the ball at his feat.  A. F. Turner,  E. A. Styles and J. Megaw are fanning out to left and right to lend him support.  accompanied by skilful ball control, this sadly neglected manoeuvre is a most difficult one for backs to cope with.
