"Folies Superbes" Fun and Fantasy at the London Casino. 1938.

   a- Not So Easy :  Lilyan, Dania and Malo combine grace with daring during their dance in "For a Man" one of the many excellent items on the bill of entertainment fare at the London Casino.

   b- Right Upper-Cut :  a probably a haymaking left to clinch matters.   Lilyan and Diana fight for Malo's favour, while he sees that the fighting is fair, at the London Casino.  The Casino is the only place of its kind in Britain and has its counterpart in the French Casino, New York.  Bert Firman's band, late of the Cafe Anglais, plays for dancing and Hugo Rignold's band accompanies the turns.  There are two shows nightly, at 8.30 and 12.  On Saturdays there is one show, at 7.30.

   c- Pas De Trois ;  Malo dances simultaneously with Lilyan and Dania in "For a Man" an amusing scene from Clifford Fischer's floor-show, "Folies Superbes."  This type of entertainment has definitely caught on in London.

   d- Monkey Business :  Ketty Mara and her Mexican-clad chimpanzee provide one of the most original turns in "Folies Superbes."  The chimpanzee, which Miss Mara trained herself, performs some amusing acrobatic tricks and also dances a Rumba with his great skill.
