Preparing Horses for the Show Ring. 1905.

For Saleis a FullPage removed from "The Illustrated Sporting nad Dramatic News," June 1st, 1905,  showing the Following Illustrations drawn by Ralph Cleaver called "Preparing Horses for the Show Ring."

    a- To make a High Stepper -  Strapping Lead weights to the Fetlocks.
    b- Spectacles arranged to give the ground a rising appearance have been tried.
    c- Where available - Trotting in deep sand.
    d- Or Pcickly Furze is effective.
    e- Whilst some try stepping them over Bars placed at Intervals.
    f- To make him stand out - Gently tapping his Legs with a Stick.
    g- Plenty of Hot food and no exercise.
    h- And a wholesome fear of the voice of someone stationed at the ring side does the rest.

Condition is Very Good.
