This Page shows a Caricature Drawing by Sallon of "TONY ROLT," who started racing in 1936, at the tender age of 17, with a Triumph "Dolomite."  two years later with an E.R.A. bought from Bira he was on his way and, in 1939, won the British Empire Trophy Race at Donington.  Postwar he has driven most makes, but his greatest successes have been with Jaguar- 1st at Le Mans in 1953, and 2nd the following year.  Those who know him and have seen him drive regret his retirement from motor racing.
