Mr. Wyndham, whose resignation arising out of the Macdonnell affair was announced by Mr. Balfour on Monday, was born in 1863.  He is the great-grandson of the famous Lord Edward FitzGerald.  He has been a soldier and is a man of letters as well as a politician.
