The ninth annual competition for the Challenge Shield presented to the club by Sir G. H. Savage as a prize for an annual competition with the epee de combat between teams representing the different British fencing clubs and schools of arms, was held at Lincoln's Inn on Saturday last. The competition was conducted on the match system.  Of the sixteen teams entered, thirteen competed, and the shield was won by Bertrand's School of Arms.
