Mr. Louis Calvert has probably not hitherto been seen in such advantage as he here is as the chief character in this play of New York Ghetto life.  Simon Ehrlich is a Jew who clings tenaciously to ancient ways and faith, while his wife and children are abandoning those traditions and are becoming transformed in "The Melting Pot."
